Summer Mandatory Meeting

The mandatory meeting for the summer break will be held on July 27th at 7pm in the back yard. All tenants are required to attend!

You Will Need To Furnish The Following Items (if you use them):
· Bedding, blankets, pillow, pillowcases
· Towels/washcloths/shower mat
· Personal items
· Alarm clock, if desired (one is not provided)
· Flashlight – use of matches and candles/candle warmers are prohibited
· Soap, toilet paper, and other toiletries
· Hangers
· Iron & iron board (they have small ones that travel well)
· Lamp for desk, if desired
· Dishes, pans, kitchen utensils, toaster, hot-air popcorn popper, etc.
· Laundry soap
· Cell phone
· UHU Sticky Tac or 3M removable strips/hooks (to hang decorations on walls)***Please use materials that say "NO RESIDUE" when the product is removed...

Suggested cleaning supplies
· Garbage liners
· Small wastebasket for bedroom (if desired)
· Gloves for cleaning
· Oven Cleaner
· Bleach (small one will do)
· Kitchen Degreaser
· Dish soap
· Dishwasher Detergent
· Kitchen scrub brush
· Paper Towels
· SOS pads/steel wool pads
· Tin Foil
· Bathroom cleaner
· CLR or other hard water spot removal cleaner
· Tub scrub brush
· Ajax/tub and tile cleaner
· Pumice stone to clean tile surfaces
· Swiffer duster/dust rags
· Clorox Wipes/Sanitizing spray
· Window Cleaner
· All purpose cleaner

Safety

We may be in Rexburg, and yes it may seem safer than many other places, but that does not mean we are immune to crime or other things that can happen.

LOCK YOUR DOORS!!! If someone walks into your apartment because the door was unlocked and takes something, it is not considered breaking and entering.
If you are going out at night, take a buddy. Please do not go running late at night by yourself.
Always tell someone or your roommates where you're going and when you expect to return.
Fire: Decorations should not be attached to the ceiling or near window coverings. All burning embers, such as incense, and open flames are prohibited. A $200 fine may be assessed for tampering with fire extinguishers or alarms.
Grease fires are the most common type among apartments in Rexburg. Here's what to do in case of a grease fire.

1) Turn the heat heat off- Don't try to move the pot. You might accidentally splash yourself or your kitchen with burning oil and that would be bad.

2)Cover the pot with a metal lid- Fire cannot exist in the absence of oxygen. With the lid on ( and the heat off ), the fire should quickly consume all the oxygen and put itself out. Use a metal lid since glass will shatter.

3) Pour on baking soda- Baking soda will extinguish grease fires, but only if they are small. It takes a lot of baking soda to do the job.

4) Get out and Call 911- If the fire does break out of control, don't try to be a hero. Get out and find a phone to call 911.

Whatever you do, DO NOT do the following;

1) Do not use water- Pouring water can cause the oil to splash and spread the fire. The vaporizing water can also carry grease particles in it, also spreading the fire.

2) Do not move the pot or carry it outside- Throwing the pot outside might seem logical in the frenzy of the moment, but trying to move the pot might splash burning oil on you, your home, and anything outside.

3)Do not throw any other baking products on the fire- Flour might look like baking soda, but it won't react the same. Only baking soda can help put out a grease fire.

How to Submit a Maintenance Request

Maintenance requests must be made on our website. Go to www.saqqaraproperties.com. Towards the bottom of the page underneath all of the links to fill out contracts and pay rent there is a link that says "Submit a maintenance request here". All you have to do is fill out the form and it will be sent to me. We do our best to take care of maintenance requests as soon as we can.

If it is something major like water is spraying everywhere, please come get us immediately.

Parking

All tenants with cars must have a parking permit in order to park in our parking lots. Each car is assigned a specific space to park in during the duration of their stay. Guests can park on the street. City parking permits are not required after 5pm. There may be a few open spaces where guests can park. Please talk with the managers if you have any questions about parking.
